Hello & Welcome, If you are a new visitor to our site please make yourself at home and allow us to thank you for spending the time to get to know the club.

Who Are We?
A friendly, informal group of sailors, run by a small committee elected by members of the club.  Experience ranges from RYA Level 2 in Dinghy Sailing through to Senior Instructor.  The ages of our members from 14 to, well, elderly!  A club for all, age & experience aren't an issue!

What are our aims?
To provide mutual support and assistance to anyone who wishes to become involved in sailing dinghies for pleasure and to extend the experience of our members.  To provide safe, interesting and exciting sailing for all skill levels in group company and to provide the opportunity to sail a wide range of boats at different locations.

What do we do?
Hold evening meetings once every month (Normally the fourth Wednesday at the County Youth Outdoor Education Centre at Upton Warren, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire).  We discuss plans, exchange ideas, update each other on boating information and offer solutions to sailing problems.

Publish this Web Site and a newsletter every 2 months to keep members who may be unable to attend all the meetings, and as a supplement with News & Reviews of events.

Organize group cruising events for single days, weekendsChichester Harbour and holiday weeks on both tidal and non tidal waters.  Recent venues have included the River Avon, Lake Bala, Chichester Harbour, Poole Harbour, Rutland Water and this year for the first time, Fowey Harbour.  Some members stay in tents or caravans, others stay in Bed and Breakfast or Hotels near the water.  There's an option for everyone.

More experienced members organise weekend sailing on chartered yachts, providing an opportunity for 'big boat' sailing at modest cost.

We have loads of fun in our social activities during and outside the sailing trips which include Barbeques, Pub Meals, Skittles Nights & more!

Members arrange informal groups to share transport to boat shows, boat jumbles, trips & events.

Do I need to own a boat?    NO!
Members are willing to share their boats, offering everyone a chance to crew and helm a different boats.  We try to ensure that no-one is left on the bank.  Currently members' own boats include Mirrors, Miracles, Fireflies, GP14, Wanderers, Wayfarers, Topper Cruz, a Skua, Drascombe Lugger, Comet Duos, and a Versa, a Victoria, Kestrel, Gull and Gull Spirit.  A wide choice giving you ample opportunity to discover which boat you might like to own!

Book Club Benefits!
Club Members can purchase most popular sailing related publications at discounts of 35%.  Often the subscription can be recovered on the first book order!

Training
The club has access to RYA training courses in dinghy sailing, yacht sailing, rescue boat, navigation, VHF radio, sea survival and much more!

Associations
Our club has strong connections with the Sail Training Centre at Upton Warren, and with Bromsgrove Boaters (a popular, local yacht club) and provides members with a unique opportunity to access the widest range of sailing activities and interests.

What does it cost?
Membership costs just £7.50 per year, per family. Yes, that is for the whole family.  This is just to cover the cost of printing and posting the newsletter.  Amazing value - we challenge you to find such great value and so much fun anywhere else in the sailing world!
