Hello & Welcome to The Jolly Sailors... If you are a new visitor please take a look at the about us section, where you will see we are a thriving club with a whole host of both sailing & social events open to all our members! We are committed to great value sailing & enjoyment for all. If you are not a member, don't worry... Take a look around, read about us, then hit the contact page! This site contains news & reviews of all our events, Current & Past Newsletter Items, and with the Up & Coming Events so you will always know what's going on! You will always be welcome to come to one of our monthly meetings to found out what we are about. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Outdoor Education Centre, Upton Warren, near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire (opposite Webbs Garden Centre on the A38, nearest to junction 5 of the M5). Our meetings for 2009 are: 25th February (A.G.M) 25th March 22nd April 03rd June 24th June 22nd July 26th August 23rd September 28th October 25th November 16th December (3rd Wednesday - Christmas meeting) We are currently in the process of developing our on-line presence so please make suggestions and send information to our web team, webmaster@jollysailors.org.uk

Apply On-Line! [Are you interested in joining the club?]

Don't waste any time, Apply On-Line! Many members have their own boats but are happy to have crew along at any time giving everyone the chance to crew and helm a range of dinghies.  We ensure that no-one is left at the water's edge. We organise sailing events for days, weekends and holiday weeks at a range of inland and coastal waters.  We stay in tents, caravans, B&B or Hotels near the Water at modest cost.  There is a Newsletter every 2 months to keep all members up to date with forthcoming events and to report on our activities.  Some members also charter yachts, in the UK and in the Mediterranean, opening up the opportunity to sail bigger boats, and warmer waters! Members arrange informal groups to share transport to boat shows, boat jumbles etc.  Tickets to such events can often be purchased with group discounts through the club.  Mixing in the odd BBQ, skittles evening and dinner event and the result is a unique, fun, family cruising club, which at £7.50 per year per family makes an ideal 'add on' to your existing sailing activities.  Applying is easy, Fill out the On-Line Form, and our Membership Secretary will get in touch with all the information you need!
